What is a hard seal butterfly valve?
Hard seal butterfly valve, also called flap valve, is a kind of regulating valve with simple structure, and it can also be used for switching control of low pressure pipeline medium. The hard seal butterfly valve mainly plays the role of cutting off and throttling in the pipeline. The opening and closing part of the butterfly valve is a disc-shaped butterfly plate, which rotates around its own axis in the valve body to achieve the purpose of opening and closing or regulating. Hard seal butterfly valve is suitable for regulating and cutting off the flow of media in the pipeline of various corrosive and non-corrosive fluid media in the furnace, gas, steam, natural gas, city gas, hot and cold air, chemical smelting engineering and power generation environmental protection system. Hard seal butterfly valve can be divided into manual hard seal butterfly valve, pneumatic hard seal butterfly valve, electric hard seal butterfly valve.
Hard seal butterfly valve is eccentric metal seal structure, sealing form is metal to metal seal, adjustable metal seal ring to metal seal, stainless steel plate and graphite composite plate seal ring to metal seal. Hard seal butterfly valve drive form in addition to electric: manual, worm gear drive, pneumatic, etc.. These valves should generally be installed horizontally in the pipeline.
The butterfly plate of the hard seal butterfly valve is installed in the direction of the diameter of the pipeline. In the cylindrical channel of the butterfly valve body, the disc-shaped butterfly plate rotates around the axis, and the rotation angle is between 0° and 90°. When the rotation reaches 90°, the valve is fully open.
Working principle of hard seal butterfly valve.
The hard seal butterfly valve is a valve that opens or closes the pipeline by rotating the circular butterfly plate (sealing member) with the valve shaft, mainly used as a cut-off valve, but also designed to have the function of cutting off and throttling adjustment. Hard seal butterfly valve is used more and more in low pressure and medium diameter pipeline. The butterfly plate of the hard seal butterfly valve is installed in the diameter direction of the pipeline. In the cylindrical channel of the butterfly valve body, the disc-shaped butterfly plate rotates around the axis, and the rotation angle is between 0° and 90°, and the valve is fully open when it rotates to 90°.
The hard seal butterfly valve is simple in structure, small in size, light in weight, and consists of only a few parts. And it can be opened and closed quickly by rotating only 90°, which is easy to operate, while this electric valve has good fluid control characteristics. When the butterfly valve is in fully open position, the thickness of the butterfly plate is the only resistance when the medium flows through the valve body, so the pressure drop generated through the valve is small, so it has good flow control characteristics. The butterfly valve has two sealing types: elastic seal and metal seal. For resilient seal valves, the seal can be set on the valve body or attached to the butterfly plate perimeter.

4. The large size butterfly plate adopts truss structure, high strength, large circulation area and small flow resistance.
5、The valve has two-way sealing function, and the installation is not restricted by the flow of medium, nor by the space position, and can be installed in any direction.
6、The driving device can be installed in multiple positions (rotate 90° or 180°), which is convenient for users. Flange centerline butterfly valve is a good choice.
