Reasons for leakage of bellows compensator
Leakage of the bellows compensator in the pipeline is mostly caused by improper construction and installation, causing the pipeline to deviate from the designed position during operation. Due to the inconsistent pressure resistance of the pipeline foundation, when uneven dynamic or static loads occur on the ground above the pipeline, the pipeline sinks unevenly, causing the corrugated compensator to leak. Therefore, the distortion of the pipeline compensator is the root cause of the leakage of the corrugated compensator.
The compressive strength of the original soil or backfill soil under the fixed bearing foundation is inconsistent with that of the side backfill soil. Dynamic or static loads on the ground above the fixed bearing will cause the fixed bearing to deflect. The torque generated by this deflection is transmitted to the Pipe compensator, causing the pipe compensator to leak. To meet the requirement of large installation length, multiple directly buried insulation pipes need to be welded together. In fact, this is a broken line pipe.
A bellows compensator is a compensation component. It utilizes the effective expansion and contraction deformation of the corrugated pipe of its working body to absorb the dimensional changes of pipelines, conduits, containers, etc. caused by thermal expansion and contraction, or to compensate for the axial, lateral and angular displacement of pipelines, conduits, containers, etc. It can also be used to reduce noise and vibration. Bellows compensator is also customarily called expansion joint or expansion joint. It is composed of bellows (an elastic element) that constitutes its working body and accessories such as end tubes, brackets, flanges, and conduits. Mainly used in various pipelines, it can compensate for the thermal displacement, mechanical deformation and absorb various mechanical vibrations of the pipeline, thereby reducing the deformation stress of the pipeline and increasing the service life of the pipeline.
The working principle of the bellows compensator is to use its own elasticity to compensate for the axial, angular, lateral and combined displacement of the pipe caused by thermal deformation, mechanical deformation and various mechanical vibrations. It has pressure resistance, sealing, corrosion resistance, temperature resistance, impact resistance, vibration and noise reduction, reduces pipeline deformation, and improves the service life of the pipeline.

⑦ No reverse thrust: Since the main material is fiber fabric, it cannot be transmitted forcefully. The use of bellows compensators can simplify the design, avoid the use of large supports, and save a lot of materials and labor.

③ Absorb the deformation of pipelines caused by earthquakes and settlements.
Compensators can be divided into unconstrained bellows compensator and constrained compensators according to whether they can absorb the pressure thrust generated by the medium pressure in the pipeline. According to the displacement form of the bellows, they can be divided into axial compensators and transverse compensators. Type compensators, angle compensators, pressure balance bellows compensators, and non-metallic expansion joints have good overall performance and have been widely used in many engineering fields.
